I’m Erin Zahradka, & I love taking photos.

I always knew I wanted to be a Photographer.  When I was twelve, I wrote to National Geographic to inquire about some day being a wildlife photographer … they wrote me back a wonderfully personalized letter, and said to make Photography a passion, but to study something practical in college.  So I did.  I studied Political Science.  Mainly because it didn’t require a lot of math. While it was fascinating, I didn’t see myself working in that field.

My love for travel lead me to think I wanted to be a Pilot.  So I got my pilot’s license.  I decided I didn’t want to fly for a career, though it is definitely another passion of mine.

I married my best friend and we had two children… and after photographing them all day every day, I was encouraged to take it further… and so my life has come full circle.
And I had another baby… Z-Portraits.

Z-Portraits uses natural light to capture
candid interactions between people…
of course the kids are my favorite, but I do it all.

I prefer outdoor sessions where everyone can be themselves in a location mutually agreed upon.
